How many places are there to go in Henley after 11 pm?

We can think of three - The Oast House, Bar Med and the Bull.

Queen's Head (Idle Hour) - Duke Street (Brakspears) bar food

The Queens Head, Henley on Thames, Oxfordshire, UK

The Idle Hour (formerly the Queens Head) is located at the corner of Greys Road and Duke Street.

The pub is open to 1 am on at least Friday and Saturday evenings, it serves food (no idea when the last food order can be placed) and occasionally has live bands.

The Oast House - Greys Road Car park

'The Oast House' changed names some time ago and we currently have no details on the new name or what the place is like, however, we do know it is open after 11 pm.

"The oast house is actually now Club Unique...for a little town i think this place is quite good. espicially during regatta! its been updated a couple of years ago and is being renovated again soon. Always full on Saturdays tho other nights can be quite good! Enjoy!" - Anon, March 2006

"It comes and it goes! The Oast House was shut for six months at the start of 2003 as the 'manager' (also landlady of the Bell) had done a 'runner'. The 'house' has now re-opened under new management" - Nick, August 2003

"It should have stayed a boxing club..... The Oast House opened in early 2000 with the ambition of becoming the new night spot of Henley. The 'club' is located in the Greys Road car park. The 'club' is on three floors. The ground floor consists of a bar and seating area, the first floor houses a dance floor, another bar, and a seating area. From the first floor a set of stairs leads to another area which seems to be for invited guests only (judging by the large bouncer on the stairs). Quite frankly the club is nasty. The drinks, as you would expect, are expensive, the decor is cheap, and already worn after only a year, and the air conditioning plant inadequate for the type of building. I have never been in such a smokey building!! Local rumour has it that a former mayor of Henley is the money behind the club...." - Nick, May 2001

Bull - Bell Street (Brakspears) BF

This is three pubs in one. The front bar is a typical town pub bar. Big thick curtains, a large bar area, a TV and some old chairs. The middle section of the pub is now a rather smart looking Thai restaurant which reportedly serves good food. At the back is a functioning skittle alley. It really is a pub of contrasts. Live music sometimes. Now appears to have an extended late night licence.
