The Saracens Head public house, Greys Road, Henley on Thames, Oxfordshire, UK."I was lucky enough to drop into the saracens head recently and was well rewarded for making the effort to step off the well worn tourist trail. Not only were the locals freindly and the staff welcoming but they also serve what in my personal opinion is one of the cleanest pints in town. Well worth the effort,so if the sun is shining and you are looking for somewhere to relax in the garden without the tourists I thoroughly recomend this pub." - Jayne, March 2003

"Popped in for a quick beer at the start of a crawl of pubs in Henley. Pub was quiet with an excellent juke box and a good selections in beers. The pub was serving from one of the last barrels of Henley Mild to be brewed in the New Street brewery." - Nick, November 2002

"Nice little locals pub just far enough away from the centre to disuade the tourists. Looks like it's had a refurbishment recently but done quite sympathetically. We both had the Brakspears Mild which was so good that we had to have a second. At £2 a pint the cheapest beer we had all night. The steps down into the gents immeadiately behind the door come as a bit of a surprise to the unwary. I think a warning sign may be in order." - Ian and Kevin, July 2001

"As this pub had not been reviewed for a few years I decided to pop in for a quick pint. The ground-floor of the pub is now one open plan room. In one corner is the bar, another a pool table, with the remaining two corners providing seating areas. The pub was clean, and the beer good. A notice invited visitors to take part in a Karaoke evening. Unfortunately no date was provided!" - Nick, January 1999

"Another goody I think. Very friendly bar people and the landlady is a wonderful character... brilliant fun! Has quiz nights and games etc. and venus fly traps which are interesting. Relaxed atmosphere.... a proper pub, where no one is concerned about image or anything... lots of locals... friendly. Lots of old men who are dying to play cards with you (and that's all). Cribbage evening is big event here!" - Luci, August 1996

"Some of the stuff on the Sarries is totally out of date unless the new landlord sings and has put in a new jukebox. Also Jono has emigrated to Australia (don't you read the Henley Standard?). So I think you should get Mary & Luci to write some more stuff about it (they'll thank me for that!). I, personally haven't been there since Mike & Jo left so I wouldn't know." - Rebecca, August 1996

"A quiet little pub which has been internally improved in recent years. Mainly local customers as it is a bit off the tourist path!" - Nick, July 1995

"This is close to my home, although not a pub I regularly frequent. Good jukebox, one of the most annoying fruit machines in the world (not as bad as the pub opposite Luci's). It has the theme of `Only Fools and Horses' and every 40 seconds spews forth an amusing cockney saying. "Apples and pears, Rodney" and such like. (The pub opposite Luci's plays the Pink Panther theme tune every 10 seconds.) It has a pool table and quite often a crooner called Jono. The fish van stops there on Wednesdays." - Mary, July 1995
